Harpursville Man Accused of Sexually Abusing an 8 Year Old

A Harpursville man is accused of having sexual contact with an eight year old child.
Broome County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested 39 year old Martin Elliot Junior in connection with alleged sexual abuse that took place over several months at a home in the Town of Colesville.
Investigators say Elliot and the child know each other but are not related.
Authorities say the New York State Office of Children and Family Services was made aware of the alleged incident and assisted in the investigation.
An order of protection has been issued on behalf of the child.
Elliot is charged with felony criminal sexual act and sexual abuse. He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
