The 2015 concert season at American Airlines Center will kick off with rock-and-roll legend Billy Joel, who plays on Thursday, January 22, 2015. This will be the first time Joel has visited Dallas since his stop here in 2007. The concert is a one-off date, as Joel is not officially on tour right now.

The Dallas concert is one in a series of reveals over the past 24 hours for Joel. He also announced that he will be playing in Miami on January 31 and Atlanta on February 28.

The bulk of Joel's recent shows have been in New York City, where he's been in residence at Madison Square Garden since early 2014. He hasn't exactly been shy about going on the road, though, as he's played shows in 10 other cities since the residency started.

The Dallas show will feature Jamie Cullum, an English jazz singer-songwriter who also knows his way around a piano, as the opening act.
