BrewRiot 2014 – Sunday, May 18th!
Perhaps one of the best loved Oak Cliff events of the year, BrewRiot is back and ready for beer lovers this Sunday, May 18th from 4pm-8pm in the Bishop Arts District.
This year we’ve got over 60 home brew teams competing with over 200 different types of beer. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to sample the brews and vote for the best of the bunch. We’ve also got live music from Oil Boom and Catamaran, so it is shaping up to be a spectacular Sunday afternoon and evening.
A slight change to the way tickets to this event work – due to some changes with the TABC, the only people who can attend and taste the beer are members of the Texas Homebrew Society. And it couldn’t be easier to join the Texas Homebrew Society – but you’re going to want to do that today instead of waiting until Sunday. The membership fee is just $25.00 and as part of your membership you also receive a ticket for tasting at BrewRiot. Trust us on this – the line for people who will be signing up for membership on Sunday is NOT something you want to stand in. Sign up and pay today and you’ll be tasting homebrew while others wait in line.
And have no fear – we’re kicking off BrewRiot this year with another running of the infamous 1.1 Mile Beer Run! The runners will gather at Nova Restaurant at 3pm (1417 West Davis) and the race will start at 3:40pm. Just add your $15 race fee in with your Texas Homebrew Society membership registration and then show up at Nova on Sunday afternoon. Every year we have runners who don’t/can’t read and they show up in Bishop Arts looking for the runners. The only runners you’ll find in Bishop Arts are the finishers – so please pay attention! Registration for the 1.1 happens at the Texas Homebrew Society membership page!
