Confusing RAM and hard drives given their dramatic differences in costs and speed and then furthering that by using the current cost of the hard drive to try to indicate something about the rate of technological change and price decreases is wrong on many levels. This type of fundamental error makes it difficult to not discount the rest of what Jerry says.

4GB of DDR3 RAM (computer memory) is ~$45 to $50.00
4TB of HDD (hard drive) is as Jerry said $150

there is a thousandfold difference between GB and TB ! so 4TB of memory would be around $45,000 or $50,000 !! far from the $150 Jerry suggested.

Great show as always. We can begin to see things "After robot armageddon"... (because the cancer kills itself too). What remains includes people who discovered the "BIG JOKE ON OURSELVES" in time.

The actual error amounts to ATTEMPTING TO TURN OURSELVES INTO ROBOTS (soft AI). It's the end of a struggle to do so that can be traced to thousands of years ago, and our wondering if our information was the world we lived in or not. It's not, of course. Seeing why not is the escape.

Our information can only be organized by rules... INVENTED by minds that work (as does much of nature) by BURSTS OF INNOVATION. Bursts of innovation is what AI so far **HAS NEVER SHOWN ANY SIGN OF DOING**.

Our information rules themselves are "dead things" made by "living things". That gives us **a reliable difference** we can follow, in creating our escape from the trap we created by becoming attached to the opposite belief!
