Our “New Home on the Range”

We’re moving!

The Marfa Public Radio network is leaving its current headquarters and moving to the 106 block of East San Antonio Street in Marfa. Renovation at the new space begins this week! We’re scheduled to open the new studios later this fall.

This quick relocation is a result of downtown redevelopment that led to an early end to our lease at the current studios.

Membership contributions are essential to making this move a success – your financial support goes straight to construction costs, equipment upgrades and building a legacy for independent journalism in Far West Texas.

To find out how you can help, call us at 432-729-4578, toll-free at 800-903-KRTS (5787), or just click here to make a contribution.

You can follow progress of the move on Twitter with the hashtag #marfamove.

Facts about the new space:

  • More space: 2,600 square feet!
  • Lower, below-market rent – a smart use of your member dollars!
  • Locally-designed by Peter Stanley of Marfa
  • Lead assistance from Greenworks P. L.L.C.
  • Popular, visible location along US 67/90
  • Good neighbors! Marfa Studio of Arts, Ballroom Marfa, and Marfa Contemporary nearby
