She's thrown parties as newlywed Joan Harris on AMC's Mad Men – and even in real life Christina Hendricks is quite the hostess!

Last Saturday, the actress and her new husband Geoffrey Arend threw a holiday bash at their downtown Los Angeles home, drawing famous friends like costar Jon Hamm, Marisa Tomei, Sandra Oh and Neil Patrick Harris. Guests noshed on shrimp skewers and other appetizers, catered by the How I Met Your Mother star's boyfriend David Burtka, with drinks provided by Corzo tequila. (Harris was so proud of Burtka that he Tweeted pictures of his "delish" spread – as well as the party guests!)

Hendricks introduced a special libation, the Corzo Pumpkin Spice Cocktail, while the company's attaché, Rob Casey, was on-hand to help the actress and her guests with the tequila tasting. "[Tequila] goes well with a lot of the food you traditionally find at holiday parties," Casey tells PEOPLE, "like crackers, cheese and chocolate."

Want to make it yourself? Here's the cocktail recipe:

Corzo Pumpkin Spice Cocktail

1½ oz. Corzo Reposado
¾ oz. Pumpkin Spice Liquor
¾ oz. Orange Juice
½ oz. Agave Nectar or 1 oz. Simple Syrup
1 orange and 1 lemon wedge

Muddle orange and lemon wedge. Add all other ingredients, shake and strain into a martini glass or into a rocks glass over ice.

Drink Up to Nine!

• After premiering Nine in New York on Wednesday night, the cast – including Penélope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Fergie headed to an afterparty at M2. In honor of the musical's Italian theme, caterer Mary Giuliani created a menu of small bites – including a grilled cheese with prosciutto, basil and mozzarella and beef Carpaccio cigars, which guests like Madonna, pal Jessica Seinfeld and more munched on while drinking Martini & Rossi wine, Prosecco and special cocktails mixed up by Giuseppe Gallo. The pop star and her friend arrived arm-in-arm and headed over to a corner booth where they enjoyed cocktails and conversation, a source tells us.

The party's signature drink? The Italia Martini – and guests swilled it all night.

Want to make it yourself? Here's the cocktail recipe:

The Italia Martini

2 oz. Martini Bianco
½ oz. apple juice
½ oz. lemon and lime juice
Fresh sprig of mint

Shake. Garnish with seasonal fruit.
