Austin Police Search For Robbery Suspect Targeting Women

Austin Police are asking for the public's help to identify a robbery suspect who is reportedly targeting women in shopping center parking lots.

Police say the suspect has targeted women at six locations and has threatened them with a large kitchen knife.

The incident locations and times are:

Sunday, November 9, 2014, 9:19 a.m. – Target parking lot, 5621 N IH 35
 
Sunday, November 9, 2014, 10:15 p.m. – HEB parking lot, 2508 E Riverside Dr.
 
Monday, November 10, 2014, 8:00 a.m. –Fiesta parking lot, 3909 N IH 35
 
Monday, November 10, 2014, 4:08 p.m.—Walmart parking lot, 1030 Norwood Park Blvd.
 
Monday, November 10, 2014, 4:58 p.m.—HEB parking lot, 9414 N Lamar Blvd.
 
Tuesday, November 11, 2014, 5:16 p.m.—Central Market parking lot, 4477 S Lamar Blvd.

The suspect is described as a white male, between the ages of 50 and 60.  He is 6' tall with a thin build and blue or green eyes.  The victims say he has salt/pepper messy hair, scruffy beard, and a mustache.

The suspect may be driving a gray 2013 Toyota Corolla, which police say is a stolen rental car from Avis in Killeen. The car has Texas plates "BZS-9257."
