Update: December 31, 5:00 p.m. – FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – SWAT standoff ends shortly before 5 p.m. in a north Fort Worth neighborhood, with police taking the man suspected of fatally stabbing  Suzanne Parsons.  The suspect shot at officers several times during the standoff, which lasted about six hours.

Update: December 31, 12:15 p.m. – FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth PD SWAT has surrounded a North Fort Worth home near the 6800 block of Permian.  An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect in the Suzanne Parsons murder, but FWPD will not confirm the name of the suspect.  Police believe the suspect is in the area, but it is unclear if he is in the home.  A SWAT barricade vehicle has blocked the suspect driveway to prevent him from running if he is inside and FWPD have gone door to door in the neighborhood warning neighbors about the police activity in the area.  FWPD says people in the surrounding homes may be evacuated if SWAT feels it’s safer for them to be out of the home.

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the victim in Monday’s fatal stabbing at a real estate office in North Fort Worth.

Suzanne Parsons, a 49-year-old Keller-based real estate agent, was found murdered inside the RE/MAX office in the 4200 block of Heritage Trace Parkway.

Police have not made any arrests in her murder, but say that the victim did know her attacker.

Though police are withholding any information about the suspect, authorities are emphasizing that this is an isolated incident.

“I don’t want to give the impression to the public that this is a stranger crime. This is not a stranger on stranger crime,” said Corp. Tracy Knight with the Fort Worth Police Department.

Police responded to a 911 call around 4 p.m., initially classifying the incident as a ‘cutting’. It wasn’t until authorities arrived that it was determined to be much worse.

According to the RE/MAX website, Parsons joined the company in 2010, but has been licensed as a realtor since 2005.
