Eagle Ford Shale Region

The Eagle Ford provides Access Midstream with key assets in one of the leading liquids rich basins.  The Eagle Ford Shale’s productive area is roughly 50 miles wide and 400 miles long ranging from the Texas-Mexico border north toward East Texas. Oil and natural gas drilling in the Eagle Ford Shale became economically feasible for development when advanced drilling and completion techniques were developed.

Access Midstream’s current Eagle Ford Shale dedication includes more than 1.4 million acres and our gathering, compression and treating systems are comprised of approximately 919 miles of in-service pipeline with more than 348 million cubic feet (Mmcf/d) of daily throughput using more than 98,700 horsepower of compression.
