Bexar County Voting Machine Omits Abbott
Outgoing Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst made an unexpected return to the ballot on Tuesday, and a dozen people had a chance to vote for him.
While Republican Greg Abbott easily won the governor’s election, a handful of voters in San Antonio never saw the attorney general’s name on the ballot. The screen of one voting machine in Bexar County displayed Dewhurst’s name instead of Abbott’s in the governor's race, according to a photo that went viral online Tuesday.

It is easy to laugh off these "glitches" in a landslide. What if they had occurred in a tight races?
Our voting machines have to be absolutely reliable, accountable (paper backup), and accurate. If we ever lose trust in the machine count, there WILL be fighting and blood in the streets.

"faulty memory" could not have been the problem. When the machine is turned off, the memory is blank. If there was a memory problem, it could not have manifested itself so selectively. It is a programming problem.
