Theatre presents Chekhov’s “Three Sisters”

TCU Theatre will present the Chekhov play Three Sisters next week in the Buschman Theatre. In a translation by Sarah Ruhl, this classic masterpiece weaves a story of hope and heartbreak as we follow the sisters Olga, Masha, and Irina as they dream of leaving their meaningless country life behind and returning to Moscow.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 – Oct. 3, and at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 5. (None scheduled for Oct. 4 due to a home football game.)

The play, directed by Krista Scott, features Mackenzie Schulien, Madison Calhoun, Kendra Oates, Leroy Hood, Delaney Milbourn, Chase Ainsworth, Jon Barnes, Dylan Glaser, Christian Greenleaf, Jovane Caamano, Marisa Duran, Jesse Thomason, John Wooten, Trevor Frets, Margaret Boschini, and Celeste Spangler.

The production team includes Brian Clinnin (Scenic and Lighting Designer), Michael Heil (Costume Designer), Tristan Decker (Lighting Designer and Technical Director), Michael Skinner (Sound Designer), Cate Rizzo (Stage Manager), McKenzie Campbell (Assistant Stage Manager), Katie Melton (Hair and Makeup Designer), Catie Kosiba (Assistant Director), Sarah Maegdlin (Dramaturg), Kristian Vanderhout (Assistant Scenic Designer), Elaine Clarkson (Assistant Costumer Designer), and Zachary Briscoe (Assistant Technical Director).

Call the TCU Box Office at 817-257-8080 to reserve tickets. It is open 12:30-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will open one hour before each performance. Tickets are $10 for the public and $5 for TCU students, faculty and staff. Senior citizens and students from other schools can also obtain tickets for $5.
