Dan Patrick Just Accidentally Endorsed Gay Marriage

Categories: Politics

In a wholly unexpected and incredibly bizarre turn of events, Republican lieutenant governor candidate Dan Patrick offered an endorsement of gay marriage so enthusiastic that he suggested doing away with heterosexual unions in the process.

Patrick, heretofore the most conservative candidate in the race -- a man who vociferously denies once showing kindness to an illegal immigrant -- expressed his support in a tweet delivered in the moments after a federal judge ruled that Texas same-sex marriage ban is unconstitutional.

Now that's the kind of bold leadership we need in Austin.

Does anyone know what the heck Dan Patrick stands for?  All I have heard in his commercials is cheerleading for the Obama haters.  What are this guy's ideas?  Does he have any?  Is he seriously running on an "I hate Obama the best" platform?

Patrick was born in BaltimoreMaryland, on April 4, 1950. He was reared in a blue-collar neighborhood in East Baltimore. He is the only child of Charles Anthony Goeb (1926-2002), who worked at the Baltimore Sun for thirty-one years before retiring in 1984, and the former Vilma Jean Marshall. In later life, he legally changed his surname from Goeb to Patrick

A true Texan and a german who is ashamed of his heritage.  And apparently descended from Hessians.    seems we had a run with these folks on Christmas Eve  1776.

I would not be surprised if Goeb is descended from that ilk.  Continuing a family tradition against the Republic

freudian slip from yet another Jeffress style closet case.  I guarantee you that if you could be a fly on the wall and observe one of these "Christian Family Men" for a day, you would see things that would make Caligula blush and Nixon hang his head in shame.

The "silent majority"?  They're so bankrupt of ideas and buzzwords that they're trotting out a 50 year old Agnew stock phrase.

Well there's really nothing wrong with that. Let's just be fair with to everybody including those who belong to the third sex. Let them do what they want, after all, we all are entitled with the same human rights.

To be fair to Mr. Patrick, he did clarify that he's ok with gay marriage, as long as it's between two legal gays. Sorry, no gay marriage for illegal aliens. You gotta draw the line somewhere, folks.

Dan Patrick is just YET ANOTHER closeted gay man against gay rights because he's ashamed of his own homosexuality - why else would anyone care?!?!

The Bible frowns upon Divorce, Sex before marriage, Children out of wedlock, not providing for family, not giving enough to charity, lying, thieving, masturbation and this is the topic they cant get over?

I can't believe they let this guy out of the ward and on top of that become involved with our governance.

I always suspected that Sen. Patrick felt this way.  Good for him for finally coming out with it.

@Daniel @whocareswhatithink Sadly yes

Mind you, only one example of each but the bible is full of punishment for all of these, however, what most people fail to say after teaching these "lessons" is after almost every story, it reminds you not to judge others, or you will be judged -  Matthew 7:2

Divorce Luke 16:18

Sex before marriage Corinthians 6:18-20

Children out of wedlock Deuteronomy 23:2

Not providing for family Timothy 5:8

Not giving enough to charity Proverbs 28:27

Lying Proverbs 6:16-19

Thieving Matthew 27:1-66

masturbation James 1:14-15
