City Highlights

  • On Nov. 4, the City of Denton entered Risk Level 5 – Public Health Alert of the Mosquito Surveillance and Response Plan.
  • On Saturday, Nov. 8, more than 600 volunteers gathered at 11 different waterways in and around Denton to pick up debris at Denton’s annual fall cleanup event, Stream Clean, sponsored by City of Denton Water Utilities Department and Keep Denton Beautiful.
  • A sample of mosquitoes collected on Oct. 28 from traps located on Clydesdale Drive tested positive for West Nile virus.
  • For Phase 4-B, traffic has been shifted to the south portion of the existing Hickory Street pavement and maintained as two-way traffic. This construction route has narrow lanes of 9 ft. width and 20 mph signs posted.
