1500 or Nothin has collaborated with an exciting and diverse roster of successful and recognized recording artists. Selected over the last few years, these highly talented veteran and debuting artists are well on their way to being the staple in the music industry.

Led by, CEO Larrance Dopson whose exposure to music started in early childhood. He joined forces with childhood friends Charles ‘Uncle Chucc’ Hamilton, Lamar ‘Mars’’ Edwards and Brody Brown to create 1500 or Nothin. He had opportunities to work with super-producers Justblaze, Brian Michael Cox and Teddy Riley early in his career. This lead to collaborations with major artists, Bobby Valentino, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg and others. With his name now on the map, he and his production partner Mars would get their own recognition by co-producing the Game’s highly anticipated release, the LAX single ‘Dope Boys’ featuring Travis Barker. Larrance also collaborated on the hit single ‘Pain’ with Keisha Cole. His mission continued through tours with major artists like T.I., Diddy, David Banner, Snoop Dog, Anthony Hamilton and others. Larrance is now a Grammy Award nominated producer for his work on Marsha Ambrosius' hit song "Far Away" along with his 6 songs on Lupe Fiasco's "Food and Liquor 2." James co-wrote the entire album with Timberlake and has seen it not only debut at number one in the world but break records with itunes sales in the its first week. He has also received great recognition for his work with group Cocaine 80s which includes super producer NOID and rapper Common to name a few.

The 1500 or Nothin Films (video department) is currently putting the finishing touches on their documentary movie, which chronicles the journey of the key members from childhood to where they are now. The film will take us on an in dept look at how the guys came together, all of the trails and tribulations the guys have gone through as they continues to chase their dreams. Its the side rarely seen and a story untold. Being a full functioning film company they also produce their own music and promotional videos as well as commercials. As a growing label, 1500 or Nothin has partnered with Peer Publishing Co to create their own publishing company, 1500 or Nothin Publishing. They are working to discover unknown talented writers and producers to put on the map. Larrance Dopson

Having grown up in a musical family, it was only a matter of time before, musician/ producer; Larrance Dopson discovered his love for it. It didn’t take long, by the time he was 4years old he received his first real drum set and the rest what history. He would go on to play for various school bands as well as his church and by the time he reached high school he had mastered the keyboards which would become his new love. It wasn’t until about that time that he would really start to try his hand on the production side. Joining forces with child hood friends, Charles ‘Uncle Chucc’ Hamilton, Kenneth ‘Bam’ Alexander and Lamar ‘Mars’ Edwards, he went on to create what we know today as; ‘1500 or Nothin.’ A complete musical movement as he would describe it with a mission to take over the whole music game. It was a mission that wouldn’t take them long to begin. He was blessed to have the opportunity to work with Super producers such as Justblaze, Brian Micheal Cox, and Teddy Riley at a young age. Which lead to great collaborations with major artists like, Bobby Valentino, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg, and others. Or breaking out into new genres of music and developing new artists that will be sure to make their mark on the industry. LAMAR ‘MARS’ EDWARDS

Lamar ‘Mars’ Edwards, is a 28-year old music producer, singer-songwriter. Born and raised around music, Mars began to play music at his father's church. His innate talent began to flourish as he joined 1500 or Nothin during his high-school years.

Even at his young age, Mars has been blessed with the opportunity to work with some of the major R&B artists including Snoop Dog, Tyrese Gibson, Mac-10, Ghostface Killah, & Jay-Z to name a few. Years of collaborating with renown producers have earned this versatile musician well deserved recognition that earned him the ability to make his mark in some of Hip-Hop’s most popular albums and tracks including:

  • (Doctor’s Advocate) - The Game
  • (Graduation) - "Stronger" - Kanye West (Exclusive) - "Take you Down" - Chris Brown
  • (Kingdom Come) - "Show me what you got" - Jay-Z

After years of collaborating with the likes of Just Blaze, Brian Michael Cox, and the Underdogs, Mars and Larrance Dopson of ‘1500 or Nothin’ were privileged to produce the Game’s highly anticipated release LAX single ‘Dope Boys’ featuring Travis Barker. Additionally, he collaborated on the hit single ‘Pain’ featuring Keyshia Cole.

With such a diverse group of talented musicians, he and ‘1500 or Nothin’ members have also showcased their versatility by serving as tour support for multiple artists such as T.I., Diddy, David Banner, Snoop Dogg, Anthony Hamilton, Mary Mary, Faith Evans and Musiq among others.

Despite his numerous musical achievements, Mars is a successful entrepreneur. He is apart of "1500ornothin" (band & grammy nominated producers) as well as SMASH FACTORY; a production company created in collaboration with producer Lil' C & multi platinum artist T.I.

Brody Brown

Bass or Guitar in hand and vibrant vocals delivered to the microphone, Chris ‘Brody’ Brown takes the stage as a dynamic artist who merges retro sounds, fresh new beats and distinctive lyrics to captivate an audience. His talents have afforded him the opportunity to perform on Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen Show, Tyra Banks Show, David Letterman, Good Morning America and Saturday Night Live. Brody has built local recognition in his hometown of Los Angeles through entertaining performances at King King, The Roxy, The Troubadour and industry showcases.

Now, at age 22 he looks back to age 5 when he realized that being a part of music was what he wanted for his life. Chris’ mother, Renice Wade, is a single parent who does everything she can to support his growth in becoming the best at his talents. She often mentions how as a toddler, Chris always managed to find his way to the kitchen grabbing whatever tool he could find; using pots and pans to create harmony. This was her first indication that he would create brilliant music. Well, she was right, his kitchen debut led to his artistic sound.

While still in high school, his mother decided it was time to buy Chris his very own keyboard to learn the fundamentals of music. His mother presented him with a top of the line Triton keyboard with savvy applications that enabled Chris to learn how to synchronize beats and create diverse music tracks. His music was inspired by the ’70s and ’80s era of R&B by artists such as The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Rick James and Madonna.

By 2004, Chris became ‘Brody Brown’, launching his career asa seasoned musician, hot young writer and producer at age 14. Teaming up with friends and band mates 1500 or Nothin, Brody began playing with gospel artists and R&B acts like Bobby Valentino. The other band members were 20 and up. Brody was the only 14-year-old in the band. Together they would go on to tour and perform extensively with artist such as Kanye West, Timbaland, Lupe Fiasco, will.i.am and several others. As time moved on, Brody began to get attention from music industry professionals and his dreams had finally come to fruition, to strive towards making hit records that will top the music charts. In the fourth quarter of 2007, Brody signed a publishing deal with West Side Independent Publishing Company. Most recently Brody has enjoyed working with several worldrenowned writers, producers and artists to focus his talents on building his career in the same areas. Since the start of his production career, he has collaborated on various projects as a producer and writer with music for T Pain, Lupe Fiasco, Lionel Richie, Heavy D, Toni Braxton, James ‘Big Jim’ Wright, Dr. Dre, Kara DioGuardi, Raphael Saadiq, James Fauntleroy, Flo Rida, will.i.am, B.o.B., The Virgins, Brandy, Warryn Campbell, Mary Mary, Joi Campbell, Bruno Mars and 1500 Or Nuthin’. Brody’s consistency in creating music in all genres was recognized as Heavy D’s Vibes album received a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Reggae Album in 2009 (Brody’s work can be found on "No Matter What" and "Sincere").

Brody currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, as a important member of the 1500 or Nothin movement. Riding high on his latest grammy noms for his work with Bruno Mars on his latest album and hit single "Grenade", Brody's ambition, focus and commitment are propelling him to establish the empire.

Charles ‘Uncle Chucc’ Hamilton

Growing up in Southern California Chalres, ‘Chucc’ Hamilton began playing instruments at the age of 5. At this time, he began to develop skills and an ear for music. This talented musician has the ability to play an array of instruments that including guitar, bass, keyboard, organ and drums. Staying true to his church root, Chucc began hiss musical journey touring with various gospel groups.

Teaming up with life long friend Larrance Dopson, the 1500 or Nothin Movement was launched and has been taking the music industry by storm. This group of young multi-talented producers, artists, songwriters, vocal arrangers and musicians has been making their mark on every project they work on including Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, The Game, DJ Quik, Bobby Valentino, Mary Mary and Lupe Fiasco to name a few.

Some of Chucc’s major accomplishments include co-producing Jay-Z’s comeback smash single ‘Show Me What You Got,’ with Jus Blaze, and The Game’s album closing anthem ‘Why You Hate The Game’ featuring Marsha Ambrosia, from Interscope’s Floetry. Chucc has had the opportunity to work

Chucc has had the opportunity to work intimately on Snoop Dogg’s highly anticipated album, ‘Ego Trippin.’ He provides vocals on several songs including Snoop’s most reflective song of his career, ‘Never Have to Worry About That.’

Uncle Chucc has also received critical acclaim for his appearances on Terrace Martin’s street album ‘Signal Flow,’ which was presented andhosted by Snoop Dogg and DJ Skee. This album has received massive support from the online community as well as placements in some of music’s most prominent publication and media outlets.

Uncle Chucc is turning a new page in the book of his career by making his affiliations to multi-platinum producer Terrace Martin. Terrace and Chucc have joined efforts to craft a new sound that merges contemporary Blues, Jazz & R&B solely utilizing live instrumentation. This collective effort titled ‘Uncle Chucc and His Laces.’ The Laces are a group of highly accomplished musicians, hand selected by Terrace Martin. These young, urban musical protégé’s make this album a truly unique and refreshing blend that results in a new sound.

CARLOS ‘LOS’ MCSWAIN

Carlos McSwain, like so many of our great pioneers in music and entertainment was born into legacy of professionals musicians, vocalists, and performers. The North Carolina native began playing the drums at the age of 5 years old. It was at the age 11 that McSwain’s mother, who at the time was multi-talented traveling theatre actress, decided to take him on the road with her. Shortly before one of her performances the production’s drummer was unable to perform. His mother wasted no time letting the director know that her son could fill in for the absent drummer. In spite of any reservations the director allowed Carlos to audition. Needless to say the producers and director were all thoroughly impressed with his performance. Not only did he get the job for that show but, he was immediately hired for the remaineder of the productions tour. This was the beginning of an amazing journey that would take Carlos to places he had only imagined going. He was educated on the road while traveling with the many theatrical productions he played for. During this time he became self thaught on keys, the electric lead guitar, and the bass guitar. It was during his early years that he was able to nurture and cultivate his many talents while traveling and playing in church.

On his 15th birthday his older brother world renowned producer, director, and musician William ‘Big Worm’ Blount surprised him with the news that he would become the late superstar Aaliyah’s drummer. This proved to be the opportunity that would catapult his career into the stratosphere. Since performing with Aaliyah, Carlos has performed and toured abroad with the likes of Ginuwine, Monica, Charlie Wilson, Snoop Dogg, J. Holiday, Cowboy Mouth, Keith Washington, Shirley Murdock, Micheal Tolcher, T.I., Future, The Game, and various Tyler Perry Productions just to name a few. He is currently playing for T.I. and Future.
