The Anaheim Ducks announced on Wednesday night that Corey Perry and Francois Beauchemin are currently sidelined after being diagnosed with the mumps.

And now the Minnesota Wild seem to be dealing with a similar ailment.

Michael Russo of the Star Tribune reported on Thursday morning that defensemen Jonas Brodin and Marco Scandella are both ill and have the same gland swelling and symptoms as teammate Keith Ballard experienced earlier this season.

It is believed that Ballard had a case of the mumps.

Linesman Steve Miller also missed the Devils-Wild game earlier this week with the same symptoms.

The spread across the league is believed to have originated in either the visiting locker room in Anaheim or Los Angeles.

The Wild were in both arenas in October, playing against the Ducks on Oct. 17 and then the Kings on Oct. 19.
