A survey commissioned by a shopping rewards company has found that while stores are busy promoting Black Friday and Thanksgiving sales, many major holiday purchases already have been made.

According to the poll, conducted for Swagbucks, 68 percent of those asked said they will be making most of their holiday gift purchases before Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Almost 40 percent of surveyed shoppers made holiday gift purchases a week before Halloween while 2 percent already purchased more than 10 holiday presents.

Other than free shipping, rewards offers, discounts and price-matching are the most popular offers for shoppers, according to the poll. Only 7.4 percent of those asked said they didn't care about coupons or promotional offers.
