Bimbo Bakeries USA has leased a large portion of warehouse space at the Cahaba Valley Business Park in Pelham.

BBUSA, which owns brands such as Sara Lee, Earthgrains and Arnold Breads, leased 60,000 square feet of an 80,000-square-foot building to facilitate its Birmingham metro distribution operations.

William Ledbetter and Brad Moffatt, both of Cushman & Wakefield EGS, represented the owner in the transaction.

Owens & Minor vacated the warehouse building at 289 Cahaba Valley Parkway in March.

BBUSA leased all but 20,000 square feet which is still available for lease.

Construction for improvements for the new tenant are underway and should be completed by the end of 2014.
