DIA tackles first snowstorm of the season (Slideshow)

Denver International Airport is tackling its first snowstorm of the winter today, and crews are out in force keeping runways and other surfaces clear of snow and ice.
As of mid-morning, DIA said it had some 250 pieces of snow-removal equipment and more than 500 snow-removal personnel on duty.
DIA advised passengers to check on their flight's status with their airline or at the airport website, flydenver.com, before heading out to the airport; to expect delays; and to drive slowly and safely on Pena Boulevard approaching DIA.
DIA also recommends passengers download the free FlySmart travel app for the Blackberry, iPhone and Android to access information from their mobile device.
