Usher must really like Honey Nut Cheerios and is figuring that his fans do, too. The R&B artist is releasing his latest single, "Clueless," not online, or in stores, but in boxes of the General Mills cereal.
Billboard reported the deal between Usher and General Mills Inc., which will include a download key for the new song in specially marked Honey Nut Cheerios packages. It's actually a three-way-partnership, because the boxes will only be sold at Walmart stores.
Golden Valley-based General Mills and Usher have a history; he starred in an ad with Buzz the Bee over the summer. Businessweek had an analysis of that deal and the growing importance of minority markets to General Mills.
