These Charlotte steakhouses rank among nation's 100 best

OpenTable has compiled a list, based on diner reviews, of the 100 best steakhouse restaurants in the U.S. — and two Charlotte eateries made the cut.

Charlotte's Beef 'N Bottle restaurant and The Capital Grille uptown are among the best steakhouses in the U.S., according to OpenTable diners.

The local eateries made the list of the 2014 Diners' Choice Award Winners for Top 100 Steakhouses in America. The honors are based on more than 5 million verified reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants.

The awards "highlight restaurants that deliver a high-end dining experience that is singular and soothing all at once," according to OpenTable.

Several other North Carolina restaurants are also on the list:

• BIN 54, Chapel Hill
• The Copper Door, Hayesville
• Ruth's Chris Steak House, Asheville
• Ruth's Chris Steak House, Greensboro

Chains such as Ruth's Chris and Morton's, The Steakhouse, which have restaurants here, also appeared on the list, though their Charlotte locations were not singled out.
