Denker named communications director for Rep. Mike Pompeo

Heather Denker, the former executive director of Young Professionals of Wichita, will lead communications work for Rep. Mike Pompeo, a Republican representing south-central Kansas.

Denker will replace J.P. Freire, who has joined the staff of Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah.

Pompeo said in a news release that he worked with Denker during a visit by Rep. Kevin McCarthy to Kansas. She organized a gathering of young professionals for a political event.

Denker's office will be in Kansas.
