LexisNexis Risk Solutions will buy Health Market Science, a King of Prussia, Pa.-based supplier of data on health care professionals and an administrator of one of the largest practitioner-level medical claims databases in the United States.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Alpharetta, Ga.-based LexisNexis has expanded its health-care portfolio over the last two years with the acquisitions of Enclarity and EDIWatch.

HMS' proprietary data will be integrated onto LexisNexis technology platform called HPCC Systems. The combination of LexisNexis and HMS datasets will create one of the world's largest health-care provider databases, the companies said.
