Storm Sentinels Help Predict The When And Where Of Hurricanes

As weather researchers are working to predict the next big storm, they need solid data on wind speeds and water levels, up and down coastlines.

From the Here & Now Contributors Network, Florian Martin of Houston Public Media reports that Texas is putting up coastal monitoring stations that are built not just to measure the storm, but weather it too.
