0Cabforce & Taxi Electric To Offer Tesla Model S Taxi In Holland
The industry-leading taxi-booking company Cabforce is partnering with Taxi Electric to bring Tesla Model S taxis to the Netherlands, as per a recent press statement.
The partnership means that if you happen to find yourself traveling to the Netherlands, you can get a taxi ride in what very well may be in the best mass-manufactured car in the world. If nothing else, those of us who can’t quite afford a Model S can at least get a taste!
“Finland (where Cabforce is based) is a world leader in cleantech, so when we had the chance to partner with Taxi Electric in Holland it was an easy decision,” Cabforce cofounder Tommi Holmgren stated in an email sent to EV Obsession. “The Tesla Model S sedans are instant style icons, groundbreaking in the way they’re designed and revolutionary in the way they operate. The transfers to and from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport are going to be even more smooth and luxurious, with the usual Cabforce seal of quality.”
As part of the broader push accompanying the new partnership, all of the “environmentally-friendly” and “green” Cabforce / Taxi Electric options are listed on the company’s website under a new branding — Cabforce Green.
“Our transport solutions might be green, but we’re certainly not ‘green’!” states Holmgren. “We’ve got a lot of experience in this industry and we know what business travelers want – efficient, professional service with a touch of class to ensure their pre-booked journeys are always hassle free.”
Taxi Electric already possesses a fleet that includes a large number of Nissan LEAFs, so the move isn’t surprising — but the chance to taxi in a luxurious Model S may very well grab the company some new customers.
“There’s no doubt our Tesla Model S cars are the most eye-catching vehicles on the road today in Holland” notes Edvard Hendriksen, co-founder of Taxi Electric. “Our mission is to become the country’s most efficient and customer-friendly taxi service, with minimal environmental damage, and now we can bring that ethos to international travelers with the new Cabforce partnership.”
