Eligibility Requirements
Best Real Estate Deals of 2014
For the past 23 years, the Dallas Business Journal has been celebrating the most exceptional real estate transactions and projects in the North Texas region each year — and the people who make them happen. In 2015, we will celebrate the best real estate deals of 2014.
We're also adding a couple of new elements to this year's program. We will be recognizing the area's top brokers in five categories — office, retail, industrial, multifamily and investment sales. If you would like to recognize an outstanding broker in one of these categories, please complete the appropriate portion of the nomination form.
The 2015 program will also include the inaugural Mayor's Choice award, in which city of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings will select his favorite deal of 2014 based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, economic impact and jobs created.
Please note: A separate nomination is not required for the Mayor's Choice award; all deals submitted will be considered for this special recognition.
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify, all real estate deals or projects must have been initiated in 2014 (i.e., ground broken or lease signed), active in 2014 (i.e., under construction) or completed in 2014 (i.e., took occupancy). Properties involved in the deals or projects must be located in Dallas, Collin, Tarrant, Denton or adjoining counties.
All finalists must attend the awards dinner on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

KEY PLAYERS
Because real estate deals do not happen without key players, the DBJ recognizes as many of the major partners involved in the transactions as possible. Please provide as many names and job titles for your project’s key players as possible. This year, we will be asking for two separate contacts to confirm key player information for the finalists. This will help ensure that no key players are overlooked.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
In addition to celebrating the Best Real Estate Deals of 2014, we will honor an individual for his or her outstanding and sustained contributions to the industry and community. Nomination detail for this award is included below.
MAYOR'S CHOICE AWARD
In 2015 we will also introduce the inaugural Mayor's Choice award. City of Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings will select his favorite deal based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, economic impact and jobs created.
