Questlove, the drummer, producer and culinary entrepreneur, will receive top billing at the third annual Taste Talks festival in the fall of 2015. His official title is curator for the three days of symposiums, tastings, cooking demonstrations, dinners and music offered in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

His music and his involvement in food — he once had a fried chicken restaurant — inspired his selection, said Daniel Stedman, a media entrepreneur and director who founded the festival. “The festival is all about food and the future of taste,” he said. “Music is part of that.”

Questlove is the name taken professionally by Ahmir Khalib Thompson of the group the Roots. As curator, he will participate in formulating the programs and securing the talent for the event. April Bloomfield was the curator for the first Taste Talks in 2013, and Danny Bowien was the headliner this year.

Details, including scheduling and ticket availability, will be announced in the spring: taste-talks.com.
