Adam Smith's Texas Harley — one of the largest Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country — has begun construction on its new 70,000-square-foot Texas Harley store.
This will be Adam Smith's new flagship store and will consolidate the dealership's three-building setup, adding more than 20,000 square feet of space adjacent to the store's current site in the 1800 block of Airport Freeway in Bedford.
The expansion will consolidate the dealership's sales, service area and administrative offices under one roof in a new two-story building. Along with the new space, Texas Harley will include a large outside event space for the store's weekly social events that range from community fundraisers to live concerts.
Smith, who has owned Texas Harley-Davidson since 2011, also owns Texoma Harley-Davidson.
Bob Moore Construction of Arlington is the building's designer and general contractor for the new store. Alliance Architects of Richardson is the architect of record for the project.
Design Work Studios of Irvine, California, is the interior design firm for the project. Jordan Parnass Architecture of New York designed the exterior of the new building.
Construction is slated for completion by fall 2015.
