LANHAM, Md. (CBS Sports/WNEW) — Three Orioles have been named 2014 Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners, while two Nationals players who were among the finalists were snubbed.

Orioles right fielder Nick Markakis, short stop J.J. Hardy and center fielder Adam Jones were awarded their second, third and fourth Gold Gloves, respectively, on Tuesday night.

This is the third consecutive year that the Orioles have had three players receive the awards.

According to CBS Sports, Gold Glove voting consists of two components: 75 percent from managers and coaches and 25 percent from stats.

Adam LaRoche and Denard Span, Nationals first baseman and center fielder, were nominated but ultimately beat.
