‘Duck Dynasty’ Becomes a Musical

Duck Dynasty is heading to Sin City.
The A&E reality show, which focuses on the Robertson family duck hunting business, is becoming a musical that will make its debut spring 2015 in Las Vegas.
The musical, produced by the team that brought us Jersey Boys, will be a semi-autobiographical show focused on the Robertson family.
The Hollywood Reporter says the script will be based on Willie and Korie Robertson’s book The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty. Music and lyrics will be written by the team behind the musical White Noise, which is about a White Supremacy rock duo, while Newsies alum, Jeff Calhoun is set to direct and choreograph the musical.
The cast as yet to be announced and it’s been reported that A&E will not be involved in the production. We’re just interested in seeing the budget for facial hair.
