THE DALLAS OBSERVER IS NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR ITS FIFTH ANNUAL MASTERMINDS AWARDS.
Dallas is chock full of artists, innovators and entrepreneurs who are changing our creative and cultural landscape. The Dallas Observer will honor these MasterMinds in January when we present $6,000 to winners with awards of at least $1,000 each. These are not lifetime achievement awards, nor are they popularity contests; our goal is to honor the current, cutting-edge works of local visual artists, performing artists, artisans, filmmakers, arts advocates — anyone making a tangible impact on the arts community.
A committee composed of Dallas Observer representatives will select a group of finalists from which this year's winners will eventually be chosen, with input from last year's winners. The winners will receive their awards on January 17th at Artopia, an Observer event honoring the local arts community.
Nominate a worthy MasterMind by emailing us at masterminds@dallasobserver.com OR mail or drop off a filled out copy of this printable nomination form, along with CD-ROMs, DVDs, digital media or links to work samples. Do not send original work. Submissions will not be returned.
