A Delray Beach medical supply e-commerce company has seen revenue double in the past year as it grows its pediatric and urology product offerings.
Discount Medical Supplies had more than $1.7 million in revenue for the first nine months of 2014, compared to about $848,000 for the first nine months of 2013, CEO John Solomon said.

After establishing itself in pain management and dietetic products, the 40-employee company is starting to expand its offerings.
"I want to dominate the market, if possible, in catheters, as well as incontinence," Solomon said. "They're not the sexiest areas, but they're the fastest-growing in the industry."
The company has added about 10,000 products in the past year, for a total of 40,000 items on DiscountMedicalSupplies.com and 20,000 on its companion website, DiscountChiropracticSupplies.com.
Discount Medical Supplies hired two new people this month, but does not plan to add a large number of employees as its revenue grows, Solomon said.
Instead, the company is focusing on expanding its products and reaching young caregivers via social media campaigns. About 10,000 doctors are registered to buy products on the company's websites, but about double that number of users are non-physicians.
"The baby boomers, their kids are buying for them right now," Solomon said.
