A popular Austin-based hot dog restaurant is planning to open a San Antonio location next spring.

Frank Restaurant, located at 407 Colorado St. in downtown Austin, serves specialty hot dogs and sausages along with sides, cocktails and beer.

Owner Daniel Northcutt told the Austin Business Journal they are planning to open a second restaurant in San Antonio next year before launching a retail line of specialty sausage. The new retail product is expected to add to the company's revenue growth of roughly 18 percent per year since its opening in 2009.
