After months of construction at the northwest corner of Walnut Hill Lane and North Central Expressway, the developer behind Preston Hollow Village has unveiled its new retailers and plans to develop more than 500 apartments.

The majority of the new retailers at the 42-acre mixed-use development will be new to Dallas, said Leon Backes, CEO of Provident Realty Advisors, which is developing Preston Hollow Village in partnership with Kroenke Holdings.

"We strategically pursued not only the best restaurants and retail stores for Preston Hollow Village, but we also selected brands that would be the first in the city," Backes said, adding that 50 percent of the retail space in the initial phase is now already leased.

The initial phase included 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 60,000-square-foot office building and a 14,000-square-foot Trader Joe's grocery store.

The retailers that have signed onto the project begin opening by the end of this year. Here's a look at who's coming into Preston Hollow Village:

  • Blue Sushi Sake Grill
  • Frost Bank
  • Eighteen Eight Fine Men's Salon
  • Modmarket
  • Orangetheory Fitness
  • Pakpao Thai
  • Tangerine Salon
  • VertsKebap

Aaron Stephenson and Zachary Porter of Dallas-based Retail Street Advisors leased the restaurant and retail space. Tim Terrell and Sara Terry of Dallas-based Stream Realty Partners is leading the office leasing.

The development group plans to break ground on its next phase of development, which will include three, seven-story apartment buildings with a total of 512 apartments by early 2015.

Houston-based Ziegler Cooper Architects is designing the apartment buildings.
