CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Religious leaders from across Nevada plan to gather for a multi-faith service at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City on Thursday to pray for worldwide victims of Ebola.
Rajan Zed (RAH-jahn Zehd), a Hindu statesman from Reno who helped organize the service, says it will include prayers from Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, Native Americans and others.
He says they intend to pray for God’s mercy and for strength for thousands of Ebola victims, their loved ones and providers.
The public is welcome at the free event scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m.
