Bernie Kosar, Browns legendary QB chats about Brian Hoyer and the Browns running game having to face J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney and how tough a test it will be. Bernie explains how you can’t just let those guys rush at you, but you have to be physical and take the battle to them and hope to wear them down and close things out late. Brian Hoyer is a smart QB and Bernie feels it will be up to him to find favorable match-ups for quick routes that can work, because he won’t have as much time to throw or take full drops.

Bernie looks at the first start for Ryan Mallett and how he will be able to handle his emotions and if the game might be a bit too fast for him. He also details what sort of power the team will give him on the field, in the huddle, and at the line if Mallett feels he can read the defense properly. With the familiarity of Bill O’Brien to Brian Hoyer, Bernie discusses how the Texans could hold an advantage and how it makes it even more key to set up the run game properly and not let Hoyer show any tendencies that O’Brien could be aware of.

Bernie thinks the weather might favor the Browns if it wasn’t for Clowney and Watt, but it might not favor anyone if the Browns can’t establish the run. He also gives his predictions for Miami and Florida State.
