The Barnett Shale Energy Education Council’s new website

Barnett Shale

Posted on: Monday, January 27, 2014

The Barnett Shale Energy Education Council (BSEEC) and its website are entering their seventh year of operation. When drilling rigs started moving into the city of Fort Worth, the major of Fort Worth at the time, Mike Moncrief, suggested that the companies operating in the Barnett Shale should establish a community service organization to provide energy education to the public. A number of companies agreed and BSEEC started operations in 2007.

The BSEEC website has been continuously updated over the years, offering up-to-date and relevant information to the public. In January 2014, the website also received a visual update, streamlining content while continuing to provide the public with factual and educational information about energy production and the Barnett Shale – the entire purpose of the website. Thousands of people avail themselves of the opportunity each month, with most visitors coming from Texas and other parts of the United States. The BSEEC website is also visited by residents from dozens of countries around the world.

We invite you to visit the BSEEC website at www.bseec.org. If you do not find the information you are looking for, please visit www.bseec.org/content/ask-question to submit your question to BSEEC.
