DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – By the thousands they came and lined up to get a ticket to see one of country music’s biggest starts, Tim McGraw perform.

It was all in celebration of Microsoft’s new store, which opened inside of  Northpark Center Saturday.

The line of folks wearing red passes, which granted entrance into the concert, was looped around several times inside North Park Center in Dallas.

A trio of girlfriends from SMU were among those in the line. They were lucky enough to have spots three, four and five.

The country music super fans arrived Friday night at 8 p.m. and camped out in the mall parking lot for a chance to get a free pass and see the concert.

“We’re huge country fans and Tim McGraw is like a country icon, I’m super pumped,” said fan Dana Sherman.

And these friends weren’t going to let the cold keep them from their free tickets.

“We were so layered up, had lots of blankets, lots of snacks,” said Kyra McCaity.

The first 2,500 fans received a pair of standing room only tickets to see McGraw and the band Perry perform at a special concert to celebrate the Microsoft store’s grand opening at Northpark Center.

For one group of girlfriends it was about the adventure, the music, and oh of course, famous eye candy.  “His face is really pretty,” explained fan Marissa Moyer.

Microsoft’s new store is the largest in the nation and right across from its biggest competitor The Apple Store.
