Location Description:
When it comes to music, the Denton Square’s best-held secret is J&J’s Pizza. Families and downtown shoppers grab pizza by the slice upstairs, while the 21-and-up basement hosts live bands and cheap booze. With its creaky ceilings and dingy atmosphere, the basement promises free live music almost every night, although it shuts down promptly at midnight. Old Denton County photographs and maps take up every inch on the walls of the building, which is more than 130 years old.
