ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – An Arlington waitress was nearly abducted, but 20-year-old Jennifer Kelly may owe her life and freedom to a complete stranger.

“I could have been beat with a hammer, or he could have taken my car and killed me and dumped me in a ditch somewhere,” explained victim Jennifer Kelly.

As her shift came to an end at Redneck Heaven in Arlington, Jennifer went to grab something from her car and in just a few minutes she was begging for her life.

“I was like I’m an honest person I work here. I’ll do whatever you want, just please don’t hurt me, ” said Jennifer

She said she remembered politely smiling at this man, 24-year-old Isaac Alonso while heading to the parking lot. Police said he followed her.

“Get down he pushes me down and nobody knows I’m about to die” She said she tried to fight back but then she saw the man gesture.

“He reached over like this. I thought he had a gun.” said Jennifer

It turns out he was carrying a hammer. As one stranger threatened her life another would intervene to save her.

“He ran after him.”  By looking at his mugshot it seems Alonso got a little bruised up as he tried to get away. Kelly’s hero held him down until police arrived.

CBS 11  requested to speak with him, but the reluctant hero told police he wants to keep a low profile.

“I gave him the biggest hug. I was like can I give you a hug you saved my life dude,” exclaimed Jennifer.

She got to thank him briefly that night, but will forever be indebted to him. “It’s something you can’t ever repay anybody for.”
