HOUSTON – Investigators are seeking information regarding the disappearance of a man last seen in late August in south Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, Rodrick Darnell Cassell, 24, of Houston, has not been seen since 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 29 at a residence located at 11923 Hunkler Drive.

He was traveling in a 2007 black Toyota Camry with Texas license plates #CTS-3800.

Investigators say Cassell left the residence he shares with his girlfriend at about midnight and stated he was going to visit friends home. His friends stated he was at their residence on Hunkler a short time and left about 12:15 a.m.

After Cassell's girlfriend had not heard from him for several hours and had not been able to contact him by phone, she called additional family members.

Family members said it is unusual for Cassell, a former U.S. Marine, to be gone for any length of time without contacting his girlfriend or his family.

Police said additional investigation into his missing vehicle has also not produced any leads.
