A Duncanville Teacher Tweeted That "Dumb Duck Ass Crackers" Should Kill Themselves

dvilleteacher-thumb-565x848.jpg
Vinita Hegwood, a Duncanville High School English teacher, has some strong opinions about white people, especially as it relates to what's happened in Ferguson, Missouri. Friday night, she decided to share some of them.

"Who the fuck made you dumb duck ass crackers think I give a squat fuck about your opinions about my opinions Re: #Ferguson," she Tweeted, ignoring the grammar rules she's no doubt been dutifully teaching her students this fall. Then, her kicker: "Kill yourselves."

The firestorm was immediate. Conservative Twitter spread her tweet far and wide, calling for Hegwood's resignation. Sunday night, Duncanville ISD issued a statement.

As an individual, Ms. Vinita Hegwood expressed an opinion on social media that is solely her own. She used her personal social media to make remarks that are offensive. While everyone has the right to free speech, as a teacher in the district, we believe the comments that are alleged to be made by Ms. Hegwood are absolutely reprehensible and we do not condone it.

The district is taking swift action in this matter within the authority set forth by district policy. Duncanville ISD embraces diversity and is not defined by the personal opinion of one.

Our district has a core belief of valuing each individual. Each person is of unique and infinite value; therefore we embrace and celebrate diversity.

Monday morning, the district followed through on their promise to take swift action. Hegwood has been suspended without pay until she is inevitably fired by the Duncanville School Board.

We're as surprised as anyone that someone has eclipsed the legendary Jeff Bliss for DISD's biggest social media teachable moment, but Hegwood seems to have done just that.

She and Mike Bassick should get together for coffee. He can pass along tips on how to recover from self inflicted train wrecks.

I hear you GF and I doth feel your pain as much as a cracker can.  But, it would be great if you could come back and give us a more detailed descriptions of squat fucking.  Many of the commenters here are in the upper 60's to upper 70's and older. I know they would love to learn about squat fucking if all it requires of them is to lay on their back and someone else does all the work and then all the guys have to do is cough up the ten bucks for the good times.

I don't really get "Twitter" - the fascination with broadcasting our personal minutiae is completely lost on me, however, this one got me thinking last night. I've always thought that people should have some sort of indicator, or gauge - if you will - that would serve to let the rest of society know what sort of person you really are, deep down inside.

I think "Twitter" and the like are accomplishing that rather nicely.

Is she the best teacher Duncanville could find for her job?

I could give a "squat fuck" about what she said but the fact that this person was hired as an English teacher is not only appalling and offs dive but indicative of the quality of public education.

This ignorant racist b1itch should have been fired already; not because she offended someone, but because she betrayed the decorum and expected class expected out of a teacher.  Worse yet, she has the Ferguson thing all wrong, and is clearly too stupid and mean-spirited to admit she's wrong.

This officer is NOT going to be indicted in Missouri or in Washington.  He did nothing wrong.  If you can't handle that, move somewhere like Russia.

In the last few days, the black community in Ferguson has been threatening to assassinate this white police officer who was assaulted by a crazed criminal who had just committed a burglary and assault of a store manager, and then attacked the officer, assaulting him with serious injuries, and tried to get his gun.

This idiot woman, and Holder and Obama, can just check themselves into a "Wishful Thinking Counseling" center, and get help.

@TheCredibleHulk First of all, I don't even know anyone who would care about my going to get a drink, going to Home Depot, going to take a shower, going to play golf and my score on every hole, or what I had for lunch and where.

I'm on Twitter, but never go there.  In fact, I've never written a word there, and doubt that I will.

I have friends who send Tweets to all of their "followers" about going to the store, changing the baby, getting their car washed, and and meeting with their CPA or financial advisor.

I agree with Hulk that Twitter is an excellent way to confirm to your friends and total strangers how dull or without purpose your life is, and how unproductive you are from writing about everything you do.

Has this idiot teacher been fired and evicted yet?

@noblefurrtexas Unfortunately there is literally no evidence that the officer was assaulted and given "serious injuries." Also the confrontation had nothing to do with the burglary.

@noblefurrtexas  Are you a Christian?  How is this school teacher connected to Obama or Holder? What is it that the three of them are wishfully thinking?

noblefurrtexas
noblefurrtexas topcommenter

@alteredjustice @noblefurrtexas That's not correct.  In fact, more forensic inquiry and two autopsies confirm the officer's statement as to what happened.

And, the officer was seriously injured, and had to seek medical attention.  He had crushed bones in one eye as a result of being assaulted by the 6'4" "gentle giant" who was not so gentle that day.

The forensics confirm that two shots were fired in the officer's vehicle, and one of them hit the assailant and there were power burns consistent with the officer's recounting of what happened.

I completely agree the officer did not start the confrontation, and we don't know if the assailant started it because he heard the burglary broadcast on the police radio - which is quite audible.

But, we DO know from forensic evidence, and the autopsies, that the assailant did not have his hands up as he was charging the officer.

@BippyIzod @noblefurrtexas That the riots and destruction of private property are okay since it's a racial matter.  You'll notice that Holder said nothing about the massive destruction of private property and stores by the black mob rioting because of a myth and lies told by some witnesses.

@noblefurrtexas @alteredjustice You're going on a complete tangent without fully addressing my claims. All you've just done is regurgitate the claims of the officer and police department without providing any actual evidence. Let's stick to providing evidence to dispute my claims before moving on.

Where is the photo of Officer Darren Wilson's "crushed bones in one eye"? One photo. I'll wait. Surely such a photo would absolutely change anyone's mind, yet no valid photo has been released. It's November 13th, over 90 days later, and no valid photo? Surely this police department is entirely incompetent if they can't figure out how to release one incredibly obvious photo that would prove the officer is in the right.

I didn't say the officer "did not start the confrontation." You clearly are illiterate if you think I said that. I said the confrontation was not brought about by the police investigating the burglary, which was confirmed by the police chief soon after the murder. Let's stick to evidence and not hypotheticals you want to make up in your mind. The police chief himself said Wilson was investigating the criminal offense of -gasp-... jaywalking.

@alteredjustice @noblefurrtexas

I got my information from newspapers and news broadcasts.  But, I can guarantee that if Eric Holder could have framed this officer for anything, he would have filed federal civil rights charges against him.  He didn't, and the feds said they expected not to file anything.

Black witnesses - I believe six of them - came forward and verified the officer's version of what happened.  And, it's known that the black witnesses who 'claimed' the assailant had his hands up and was surrendering were lying.  The autopsies and other witnesses proved that.

The officer stopped the two men who were walking in the middle of the street; not jaywalking.  He didn't investigate what they were doing; he saw it.  Where do you get this nonsense?

I am well aware that the officer likely found out about the burglary and assault while talking to the assailant.  It is possible the assailant heard the police radio, and decided to attack the officer.  But, either way, he started the physical stuff according to black witnesses, the officer's statement, and the forensic evidence.

I understand you wish it to be otherwise; but, it's not.  It is what it is.

@noblefurrtexas @alteredjustice "Black witnesses - I believe six of them - came forward and verified the officer's version of what happened."

The Washington Post claimed this but nobody can figure out who these "black witnesses" are. Whenever they come forward and testify, perhaps we'll know if they exist.

I am getting the jaywalking report from the news and what the police chief said: "Jackson said that "the initial contact with Brown was not related to the robbery." Jackson also clarified that Darren Wilson, the officer who shot and killed Brown, wasn't even responding to a call about the robbery as initially reported. Wilson instead stopped Brown because he was jaywalking."

I don't wish anything. You are the type of dipshit who tries to make a big deal over the difference between "jaywalking" and "walking in the middle of the street" (protip: it's the same thing). Neither of which justify murder.

I have asked you to provide a photo of Officer Darren Wilson's broken eye and you gave me a picture of a motocross rider not named Darren Wilson in a hospital bed. Who's the one wishing again? You. The answer is you.

@noblefurrtexas @ScottsMerkin Dont do drugs and the last time I was in a probation officew as about 18 years ago.  You realize that racists hire the people the yare racist towards all the time.  It the words you speak behind their backs that means something, not the way you treat them to their faces.  If they read some of the stuff you write here, I bet they'd agree with me and other here rather than you.   But whatever justification you need to make to help you feel better about it is your deal.  You are the one mistaking politically incorrectness with racism

noblefurrtexas

@ScottsMerkin @noblefurrtexas @alteredjustice I know exactly what Snopes said. However, there is evidently a medical report saying a blow to his face fractured several bones in his eye.

The photograph appears to be quite real.  His face, on the right-hand side, is swollen and bruised around the eye.  There is also a slight abrasion below his left eye.

You could fake the bruise below his eye, but you can't fake the swollen face.  He was clearly struck by the assailant's left hand, and maybe more than once.

Actual abrasions and contusions are difficult to fake with this kind of close-up.

It is also clear that his heart was being monitored, and his respirations were also being tracked.

You're welcome not to believe it.  But, the St. Louis Post Dispatch has no reason to lie, and AP has independently verified a great deal of this.

noblefurrtexas

@ScottsMerkin @noblefurrtexas That's the phrasing the media used; not mine.

I believe the PD was making the point that even black witnesses verified the officer's version of events. It is also clear some black witnesses lied about what happened, no doubt for racists reasons.  But, forensics proved them to be not credible.

noblefurrtexas

@ScottsMerkin @noblefurrtexas I'll keep this short.  Why would I hire people of other races because I don't like people of other races?  That's beyond ignorant. The EEOC wasn't formed because white people who didn't trust blacks kept hiring them.  The opposite is true.

I hire people based on education, experience, work record, etc.  I don't care if they're green as long as they will do a good job.

If you find that "racist", perhaps you should get a dictionary written after WWI.

alteredjustice

@noblefurrtexas @ScottsMerkin @alteredjustice That is Jim McNeil, motocross rider, not Darren Wilson. It says that in the link you provided. He also looks nothing like Darren Wilson. You are an illiterate moron and are proving yourself to be completely incapable of any sort of unbiased reasoning skills.

"The St. Louis Post Dispatch has no reason to lie" is not evidence. It's handwaving, and is completely unacceptable as a reason for not putting ANYONE on trial, especially an officer.

ScottsMerkin

@noblefurrtexas @alteredjustice  that is not a photo of Darren Wilson, dumbass.  That is the whole point.  Snopes is saying that is the photograph of someone with injuries but not Darren Wilson.  You are losing it man.  You know what would settle this, Darren Wilson speaking or the cops releasing a report, any report of his side of the story.  but nope, lets not say anything, so crazy cooks like you can take ever little bit of the story and spin it how you want, exactly as you are doing here.

@noblefurrtexas You've demonstrated below that you will purposefully post blatant lies and propaganda to prove your point, now I'm supposed to take you at your word about your hiring practices?  That's laughable at best Noble, but good try.  And the EEOC is what makes you hire blacks you ignorant fool.  If you showed your racism in your hiring practices, you'd be in violation of the EEOC.

noblefurrtexas

@ScottsMerkin @noblefurrtexas  Thank you for making my point.  Although I went into business long after the 1957 and 1964 Civil Rights Acts, I understand the essence of both.

Since you don't believe me, I'll just offer that EEOC is NOT the reason I hire people of color.  If a candidate is not qualified, I don't hire him.  In smaller businesses, you simply can't afford to hire or not hire people because of their heritage or nationality.

We generally work through employment agencies, or referrals.  When we sub-contract screening candidates to someone else, we make absolutely certain they understand we're looking for the best qualified and best socialized to our business;  NOT because of color, religion, disabilities,

etc.
