Toyota Motor Corp. (NYSE: TM) filed plans Thursday with Plano's planning department for its new $350 million North American headquarters campus.

Those plans for the 100-acre corporate campus include a data center, a massive eight-building office complex with a grand entrance off Headquarters Drive near Legacy Drive, as well as four warehouse buildings to the west of the campus.

The campus is bound by Headquarters Drive to the south, Legacy Drive to the East and State Highway 121 to the north.

"We are excited to reach another milestone in turning our vision for Toyota's new headquarters into a reality," said Toyota spokesman Javier Moreno. He declined further comment.

Other plans also include a number of other smaller office and auxiliary buildings on the campus, as well as room for three more future office buildings to the north of the large office complex. The campus also includes five parking garages, as well as some surface parking.

When Toyota North America CEO Jim Lentz spoke to the Dallas Business Journ al recently, he said the new campus would streamline the company's business.

The new headquarters is expected to employ up to 4,000 workers in the next few years.
