Energetic start-ups
I recently had a chance to meet with about two-dozen startup companies working on truly breakthrough technologies. Not all will succeed, but many will, and that’s exciting because they’re going to help us tackle some big problems—like producing sustainable clean energy and nutritious food to feed a growing world population.

Recently I finished reading Daniel Yergin’s new book, The Quest: Energy, Security, and the Remaking of the Modern World. It’s a valuable guide to the complex factors shaping the world’s energy needs, supplies and prices – even if a workout at over 800 pages.
