Our Energy Moment Marks 50 Member Milestone

Washington, DC - Less than a year after launching as a coalition dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the benefits of expanded markets for liquefied natural gas (LNG), Our Energy Moment passed an important milestone by enlisting its 50th coalition member.

"Reaching this important milestone of fifty members so quickly for our growing coalition demonstrates how LNG exports have become a policy priority in states like Texas, Louisiana and Pennsylvania," said Andrew Ware, spokesperson for the Our Energy Moment coalition. "Our Energy Moment was launched to raise awareness of the historic opportunity for the U.S. to assert global energy leadership, strengthen its economy and create American jobs by expanding markets for natural gas. Reaching this important member milestone represents a validation of our organization's mission."

OEM launched earlier this year in Washington, DC, and has formed state organizations in Texas, Louisiana and Pennsylvania. The Coalition has held several informational forums and events to educate and celebrate the benefits of expanded LNG exports and highlight support among elected officials, academic institutions, business groups, economic development organizations and other non-profit organizations for public policies that advance America's continued energy development and LNG exports.

OEM members represent a wide range of economic development entities, industry leaders, and state and community organizations, including local economic development organizations and small businesses.

"As policymakers continue to discuss LNG exports, Our Energy Moment is working to amplify the voices of members who support expanding our energy markets abroad," Ware said. "Expanding exports of LNG is critical to help the U.S. realize its potential as a global energy leader. We are at an inflection point in our nation's energy policy, and our goal is to ensure that America doesn't miss this historic opportunity."
