MPC Wins Esteemed Tekne Award for Innovative IT Safety and Security

MPC recognized for TRACE, a complete suite of off-network IT risk mitigation services.

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 8, 2013 — Innovative IT services firm MPC was awarded the 2013 Minnesota High Tech Association’s (MHTA) Tekne Award for Safety and Security (http://www.tekneawards.org). The award honors innovative products or services used to improve, enhance or secure networks, computers or systems from unintended or unauthorized access.  Winners were announced at the 14th annual dinner and awards ceremony last night at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The company was recognized for their recent launch of TRACE, a complete suite of risk mitigation services to help organizations prevent problems associated with end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-current-use (EOCU) electronic equipment. TRACE safely streamlines the disposition process through execution, efficiency, data flow and vendor management — giving customers confidence in the secure elimination of company data and the responsible handling of IT assets and other electronic equipment. The foundation of TRACE is built on cutting edge security technology and industry best practices governed by formal certifications.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized for this prestigious award,” said David Kutoff, MPC’s President and CEO, “Over the past two years, the MPC team has been dedicated to building this new service platform for our customers and their hard work has paid off. With growing awareness of the dangers associated with off-network IT equipment, customers are relying on us to eliminate those risks.”

The Tekne Awards shine a spotlight on Minnesota’s technology industry, recognizing companies, innovations and people for technological breakthroughs that improve the lives and futures of people living in Minnesota and all over the world. The fifteen Tekne Award recipients were chosen from over 100 applications by a committee composed of outstanding business leaders ranging from legal professionals to entrepreneurs and past recipients.
