Snapshots of Antarctica—With Penguins!

Oct 16, 2014 | 110-part series
Chris Heller

During a trip several years ago, French artist Kadavre Exquis captured this delightful footage of Antarctica's penguins and seals in the wild. These short vignettes combine not to tell a story—in fact, there is no narrative—but to playfully juxtapose a colony of (very energetic) penguins with a few (very lazy) seals.

To see more of Kadavre Exquis's work, visit his Vimeo page. We also featured one of his animations in 2012; it's well worth watching.
