Arrest Made In Hartford Homicide

(HARTFORD,Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Hartford Police have arrested the former boyfriend of a woman found dead in her home at 82 Hanmer Street Tuesday.
40 year old Alex Baez-Franqui of Hartford has been charged in the murder of 45 Luz Nieves.
Police went to Nieves home to conduct a welfare check after a call from officials at Travelers, where she worked, because she had not shown up for work,which was uncharacteristic.Nieves was stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso.
It was Hartford’s 15th homicide of 2014.
Baez- Franqui is being held in lieu of a million dollars bond.
