43rd District Court
The 43rd District Court was created by Texas Legislature in 1856.
Jurisdiction
The Parker County District Courts have original jurisdiction in the following types of cases:
- Any matters in which jurisdiction is not placed in another trial court
- Cases involving title to land
- Civil matters in which the amount in controversy is $200 or more
- Divorce cases
- Election contest cases
- Felony criminal cases
- Juvenile matters

Dress Code & Guidelines
The following general items are not allowed in the courtroom:
- Facial jewelry
- Flip flops or beach-type shoes
- Hats
- T-shirts
The following rules in regards to men's clothing are to be followed:
- Long pants only, no shorts
- Shirt tucked in, no T-shirts
The following rules in regards to women's clothing are to be followed:
- Appropriate blouses that cover shoulders and midsection
- Dresses and skirts should be appropriate length
- No mini skirts
- No shorts
No food, drink, or weapon of any kind is permitted within the courtroom and all cell phones and electronic devices are to be silenced prior to entering the courtroom. Children are not allowed in the courtroom unless they are the subject of an adoption proceeding.
Mission Statement
It is the goal of the district courts to provide a just, fair, equitable, efficient, timely, and impartial adjudication of the rights of litigants within the bounds of substantive law and procedural law as promulgated in Texas. We will strive to meet this objective expeditiously and at the least expense practicable to the litigants, their attorneys, the state, the county, and the respective courts. All litigants shall be held to the same standard, which includes knowing all applicable rules and proper courtroom etiquette.
