Vital Statistics

To obtain a copy of birth and death certificates, an application must be completed. The County Clerk is closely supported by the Texas Department of State Health Services / Vital Statistics Unit in Austin, Texas. View out-of-state vital statistic information.

  • A death record becomes public information and available to the public on and after the 25th anniversary of the date of death as shown on record filed with the Texas Department of Vital Statistics Unit or local registration official.
