A Starbucks like you’ve never seen is coming to Dallas’ Shops at Park Lane

Here's a rendering of the Starbucks expected to open in spring 2015 at The Shops at Park Lane. The Starbucks is the building on the left, with the "live" green roof.

The Shops at Park Lane announced Wednesday it would get a “flagship” Starbucks. What’s that?

A spokeswoman for the shopping center at Highway 75 and Park Lane couldn’t confirm very many details about the new space, but she did say it would be 2,500 square feet — which is larger than most existing Starbucks stores — and it will have a patio that peers over a coming-soon park.

Get your cups ready.

The Dallas store will be modeled after another new Starbucks in Austin, which Eater calls a “luxury” coffee shop. That Starbucks has a special design and “music-inspired details” such as “microphone chandeliers,” according to a Starbucks press release.

No word on whether the Dallas shop will have any of those features, though we do know it will be “similar.”

Starbucks corporate spokespeople haven’t responded to questions yet. The big one: Will this Starbucks sell beer and wine? The company is testing out stores called Starbucks Evenings in other cities, but plans weren’t in place for them to mosey on over to Dallas when I asked back in March.

In addition to the new Starbucks coming in spring 2015 at The Shops at Park Lane, the shopping center will also get a Zoe’s Kitchen next year and a Bar Louie this year, according to a press release.

Other (non-food) tenants at The Shops at Park Lane include a spin studio called Zyn22 and a pilates place called Studio 6 Fitness; a men’s big and tall clothing store called DXL; and a “boutique” store called Unleashed by Petco, according to a press release.
